View Assignments
The Assignments page helps you to track all assignments and their scheduled start/due dates, as well as class participation.
On the main Dashboard page, the What's Next? panel provides a glimpse of current and upcoming assignments (three at a time), showing what percentage of students has begun to work on the assigned module.
To access the full list of assignments with start/due dates and participation rates, select the View All Modules button, or click the Assignments tab at the top-right of the page. You'll land on your Assignments page, where you can preview all the module assignments that your students will complete.
Click Details next to a module to view its contents.
There are several Assignment types that can be included within each module in Kinesiology in Action. Each module begins with a Read link, which links students to that chapter in the eBook. Next, students select Intro to watch a suite of video content that covers the core concepts of the module.
The Pre-Assessment activity is a series of multiple-choice questions designed to be completed before the Pre Lab and Lab exercises in each module.
Students will read the directions and then click a Continue to Questions button to begin the activity.
Once completed, students will submit the Pre-Assessment and be able to view their results.
Pre Lab
Pre Lab activities include Coloring Exercises, Labeling Exercises, and Muscle Identification Exercises.
Coloring Exercises
Students will select the Coloring Exercise and will read the directions. Then, they will click Continue to Questions. Students will be asked to identify items by matching the color to the correct part of the body. Once completed, they will click the Submit button to view their results.
Labeling Exercises
Labeling exercises provide illustrations for which students will drag-and-drop labels to identify the correct parts of the illustration. They submit answers and receive feedback on what they labeled correctly or incorrectly.
Muscle Identification Exercise
This is a multi-part exercise. On several figures, students will identify items on illustrations of muscles. Then, they will be prompted with several multiple-choice questions. At the end of a Muscle Identification exercise, students will click Submit to reveal their results.
Lab
Lab exercises will begin with a short video for students to watch before answering a series of multiple-choice questions.
Once they have watched the video, students will click the Continue to Questions button to move on.
After the multiple-choice questions are complete, students will click Submit to view their results.
Post-Assessment
Post-Assessments are meant to be completed as the final activity of each module. Like the Pre-Assessments, students will answer a series of multiple-choice questions to gauge their understanding of the material. Once complete, students will click Submit to view their results.
You can also view Test Bank Assignments by clicking the TestBank tab at the top-right of each page.
Here you can select: Create Practice Quiz, or Create Test Assignment. Practice Quizzes and Test Assignments can be created both before the course starts and after the class has started.
